Awaken Church In-Person Gatherings
At Awaken we are following all provincial guidelines and rules for compliance of worship services and other
gatherings (e.g., mandatory masks, capacity limits, physical distancing of 2 meters, etc.)
The Board and Lead Pastor are responsible for tracking these and implementing
procedures as they change
As of December 2020, our church service capacity is 15 people maximum. All
households must be seated at least 2 meters apart. Everyone must wear masks
at all times. No singing except for a worship leader who is positioned behind a
plexi-glass screen. All attendees must register for the gathering here:

No one is to enter the building if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, meet provincial
health criteria to isolate or quarantine, have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been
in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, or is under investigation for COVID-
19 or is the close contact with someone who is under investigation for COVID-19.
We sanitize touched surfaces at the beginning and the end of facility use
For those attending the church service in-person, individualized communion
supplies are prepared in advance. At least one hour prior to the service, a person
who is free of any COVID-19 symptoms with sanitized hands wearing a mask
prepares individual cups with a cracker and juice for each person.
o During communion time during the service, people come up to the communion
station one at a time and take their elements (cracker and juice) back to their
chair (which is seated 2 meters apart from all people outside of their household).
One at a time, individuals pull their mask down and take their own communion.
We track attendance at church services via the registration system above for notifying of COVID-19 cases
