Brynne Nelson

Children & Youth Coordinator

Brynne (she/he/they) has been a part of the Awaken community since fall 2021 when they moved to Calgary from Three Hills. They were drawn to Awaken because of its desire for inclusivity and community care. Brynne has been a Kids Church leader in many churches and Christian institutions, but none have made them feel as welcome and celebrated as the Awaken community. They are passionate about caring for Awaken's kids, as well as the families in their community.

Megan Biggs

Operations Manager

Megan (she/her) has been a part of the Awaken community ever since 2012, when she moved into the Bowness House of Commons (RIP). Megan started going to Awaken because she loved the community of Awaken, as well as the vision of an incarnational presence of redemption and reconciliation in the neighbourhood. Megan has an educational and experiential background in library science, records management, and administrative finesse. She lives with Brynne, Dino and Ocie, along with their collective cats; Henry, Vincent and Squid. She did not name any of the cats.
