Paul celebrates his partnership with the Philippian church in the proliferation of the gospel. As an apostle of Jesus Christ, Paul’s role was to initiate churches throughout the known world as lead by the Holy Spirit. The church in Philippi may not have been established by Paul if he had not been sensitive and obedient to God’s leading. Churches like the Philippian church carry on the mission of God in their particular locals, in their neighbourhoods.

Read Philippians 1:1-11.

Reflect on our calls to the neighbourhood of Bowness and the others circles in which God has given us influence. We are partners along with Paul, the Philippian church and the universal church, participating in advancing the  gospel in the whole world.
